Havre Police Department

Steven Allen Stanley of Box Elder, 46, was arrested on four Justice or City court warrants served at Hill County Detention Center Tuesday at 8:58 a.m.

An 11:42 a.m. Tuesday call about a deer that had its head stuck in the porch railing at a Sixth Street location was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

A detective from the Casper, Wyoming, police department asked Tuesday at 2:34 p.m. to speak with an officer.

Two arrests were made after a caller at a First Street West business reported people harassing staff and patrons Tuesday at 5:55 p.m. No details on charges were provided in the dispatch log, but two people named as involved parties were listed in this morning's jail roster. Jacquline Colleen Chiefstick was being held on charges of driving under the influence and resisting arrest and David Taylor Eagleman was being held on five Justice or City Court warrants.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Tuesday at 8:28 a.m., a caller at a Sixth Street North facility reported someone breaking things in their room and leaving, headed toward town.

Tyler James Hanley of Hays, 35, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting and on three Justice or City court warrants, and Christian Michael Martell of Harlem, 29, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after shoplifters were reported by a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business Tuesday at 12:20 p.m.

Two summonses were issued after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft, forgery or fraud at 4:47 p.m.Tuesday and a trespasser at 5:47 p.m. No details on charges were provided for either incident.

Deputies investigated a sex offense reported in Box Elder at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday.

A caller on County Road 836 Northwest reported a scam regarding a grant Tuesday at 6:54 p.m.

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported on Sixth Street West Tuesday at 7:24 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Tuesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and two 6-month-old kittens of unknown gender, six male cats, five female cats, a female 16-week-old kitten, and one male and one female 7-month-old kittens.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two male pit bull terriers, a male German shepherd, two female mixed-breed dogs, a female 19-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female pit bull terrier.
