Havre Police Department

A caller on Third Avenue reported a two-vehicle crash at 10:29 a.m. Wednesday.

Dai Shawn Rose Whitford of Box Elder, 30, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after a caller on First Street West reported at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday a toddler was sitting on someone's lap in a vehicle.

A 16-year-old was arrested on a charge of assault by coercion, intimidation or threat after a caller requested at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday police presence due to a threat to Havre High School.

A hit and run crash was reported on 17th Street Wednesday at 3:25 p.m.

--

A vehicle crash in which one vehicle was T-boned was reported at 7:32 p.m. at Second Street and Fourth Avenue.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Wednesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and two 6-month-old kittens of unknown gender, six male cats, five female cats, a female 16-week-old kitten and one male 7-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two male pit bull terriers, a male German shepherd, two female mixed-breed dogs, a male 10-week-old poodle, a female 19-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a male Australian cattle dog-blue heeler cross.

Births

A boy was born Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, to Trista and Gage Essert Sr. of Hays.
