Havre Police Department

A caller reported Friday at 7:51 a.m. that a truck and trailer were stuck on the 13th Street hill and backing up traffic.

Officers attempted to serve a warrant Friday at 1:33 p.m. on 14th Avenue.

--

Officers were called to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash at 13th Street and Eighth Avenue Friday at 3:30 p.m.

--

A caller at a Fifth Avenue business reported Friday at 4:58 p.m. that someone tried to attack one of the staff.

--

A two-vehicle crash was reported on First Street Friday at 6:41 p.m.

--

Several people on the 300 Block of Sixth Avenue reported a water main break at 6:58 p.m. Friday, and Havre Public Works was notified.

--

A two-vehicle, non-injury crash was reported from the 1500 Block of Fifth Street Friday at 7:08 p.m.

Scott Alan Roberts of Havre, 23, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and expired vehicle registration after an officer initiated investigation or a car stopped in the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street West at 1:50 a.m. Saturday.

Officers investigated a vehicle crash at Second Street and 16th Avenue after being flagged down Saturday at 11:15 a.m. by a man who reported he had hit a vehicle.

Charles Randy Walker of Harlem, 71, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and possession of dangerous drugs and on two Justice or City court warrants after a caller at First Street business reported Saturday at 11:38 a.m. having a non-combative shoplifter on the premises.

A Saturday 12:01 p.m. caller on Second Street Northeast reported finding their stolen dog.

A Second Avenue caller reported possible package thieves in a white SUV on Second Avenue Saturday at 12:56 p.m.

A caller at a First Street business asked officers Saturday at 3:15 p.m. to speak with residents on Second Avenue who keep taking carts from the business.

--

A caller on Main Street reported Saturday at 5:07 p.m. that his vehicle was struck from behind and he pulled over, but the other person kept going.

Paul Michael Turner of Havre, 31, was arrested on a charge of criminal contempt related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation reported at the police station at 7:06 p.m. Saturday.

Officers investigated a 10:37 p.m. Saturday report from a juvenile about a disturbance on Fifth Street.

--

Aimee Lee Montes of Box Elder, 38, was arrested on charges of obstructing a police officer or other public servant and false reports to law enforcement authorities after callers at a First Street establishment reported Sunday at 8:37 p.m. that a woman was acting strangely and asked for a welfare check on her.

Brandon Thomas Gopher of Box Elder, 39, was issued a summons on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license during a vehicle stop on First Street West Sunday at 9:01 p.m.

Officers investigated an 11:15 p.m. Sunday report of someone being threatened by a grandson.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A caller reported Sunday at 3:13 p.m. that the hill on 16th Avenue West needed to be sanded and the roads department was notified.

Crystal Blue Benton of Great Falls, 38, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license after a caller on U.S. Highway 2 Northeast reported a stolen car Sunday at 5:25 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Friday, six calls Saturday and five calls Sunday. An ambulance accompanied firefighters Saturday at 9:20 p.m. to the 400 Block of 19th Street in response to a carbon monoxide alarm at a single family dwelling. No gas was detected at the home.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 6-month-old kittens of unknown gender, seven male cats, five female cats, a female 17-week-old kitten and one male 7-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier, a male German shepherd, three female mixed-breed dogs, a male Labrador-pit bull terrier cross and a female 20-week-old mixed-breed puppy.

A girl was born Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, to Holley Leo and Bradley Perkins of Havre.
