MSU-N's Harris honored

Northern hoops games cancelled this week

Montana State University-Northern’s David Harris has been named the Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season. Harris is a 6-foot-4 senior guard/forward from Tacoma, Washington. The Lights lost to No. 10 Arizona Christian 78-69.

Harris scored 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. He was 10 of 19 from the field and was 9 of 9 from free throw line.

The Northern men and women were set to host games against a pair of Canadian schools this weekend to close out non-conference play, but, Alberta recently put out a non-essential travel advisory for the province due to emergence of the Omicron variant, so all games are cancelled. The Lights and Skylights will return to action Jan. 6 at Rocky Mountain College. MSU-N also travels to Montana Western on Jan. 8 in Dillon.
