Heather Lena Marie Lamere of Havre, 27, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault and on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller reported a man had attacked a woman Saturday at 2:21 a.m. on Second Street.

Venita Lavenger of Havre, 43, was arrested on charges of partner or family member assault, assault on a minor and violation of a no contact order, and William Barney Lavenger of Havre, 44, was arrested on an assault charge after a caller reported an active disturbance on Second Street Saturday at 3:06 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office
Stephen Lewis Newbury of Havre, 41, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Thursday at 11:41 a.m.

Joshua Ian Beaumont of Havre, 47, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at the detention center Thursday at 11:43 a.m.

Deputies investigated a Thursday 8:26 p.m. report of a stolen vehicle.

A Ninth Street East caller reported a vehicle theft Sunday at 11:25 p.m.
Havre Fire Department
Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Thursday, eight calls Friday including one with a fire call, three calls Saturday and two calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to two calls Friday, with the first a gas leak at 6:41 p.m. on the 400 Block of Second Avenue that was turned over to NorthWestern Energy and an 11:59 p.m. fire call to the 100 Block of Ninth Avenue that turned out to be steam not smoke.
Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held two cats and one kitten all of unknown gender, seven male cats, five female cats, four male kittens and one female kitten.

The shelter also held three male and three female 8-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a male German shepherd, a female mixed-breed dog, a female 22-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female 13-week-old puppy. Also held separately are five 4-week-old puppies, two 3-week-old puppies and a female 9-month-old puppy, all mixed-breeds.

A girl was born Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, to Katie and C.J. Hanson of Box Elder.
