State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 10, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,939 new cases, 7,713 active cases, 154 hospitalizations and 2,921 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 204,788 cases.
Hill County Health Department had not provided an update since Wednesday night. The state tracking map listed 10 new cases, but its list of active and total cases did not match the health department’s update Wednesday. The health department generally provides an update Monday evening.
Blaine County Health Department said in its update Thursday night that it was notified of 1 new case and four met the criteria to be considered recovered with 10 active cases in the county, 1,558 total cases and 29 deaths.
Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill County reports, reported Friday 4 new cases and 7 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 36 active cases, 1,246 total cases and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.
Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Friday no new cases and four met the criteria to be considered recovered with 2 active cases, no active hospitalizations and 13 deaths.
Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 7 active, 276 total cases, 2 deaths.
Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 10 new cases, 16 active, 816 total cases, 9 deaths.
