State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 12, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,831 new cases, 9,613 active cases, 172 hospitalizations and 2,933 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 208,132 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in an update this morning that 18 new cases were reported Tuesday and 10 met the criteria to be considered recovered, 36 were confirmed Friday through Monday with 47 recoveries. Tuesday the county had 51 active cases and 3,668 total cases. The county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Tuesday that it was notified of 7 new cases and 1 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 18 active cases in the county and 1,571 total cases. The county has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill County reports, reported Tuesday 8 new cases and 5 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 31 active cases, 1,241 total cases and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Tuesday 3 new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 3 active cases 822 total cases, no active hospitalizations and 13 deaths

Liberty County Health Department reported Tuesday 20 new cases in the previous two days, The state tracking map this morning reported the county had 26 active cases, 295 total and 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 8 new cases, 26 active, 826 total cases, 9 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .

People can find online where vaccines are available in their area through https://vaccinefinder.org, operated by Boston’s Children’s Hospital and supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the United States Digital Service.
