Box Elder schools go remote due to COVID-19

Box Elder Schools Superintendent Jeremy McDonald announced this afternoon that, after contact tracing and testing this morning Box Elder Schools became aware of 10 positive COVID-19 cases associated with the school.

"We will be moving to distance learning for the remainder of the week,” McDonald said in the release. “Teachers are preparing devices and school work packets for students.”

McDonald said students will be released at 1:00 today, and no practice will be held today.

"We are in the process of rescheduling the basketball games for this weekend and will provide an update when it is available,” he said.

McDonald said the school will remain open for grab-and-go meals the rest of the week and the district also can also deliver

food if its front office or elementary office is notified.
