State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 28, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 2,888 new cases, 19,817 active cases, 312 hospitalizations and 2,993 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 238,801 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its update Thursday that 35 new cases were reported and 15 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 249 active cases in the county, 1 active hospitalization, 4,328 total cases and the county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Thursday that it was notified of 44 new cases and 16 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 203 active cases in the county, 1 active hospitalization, 2 that require hospitalization, 1,997 total cases and the county has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill county reports, reported Thursday 10 new cases, none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 145 active cases, 1 active hospitalization and 1,538 total cases. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Thursday 28 new cases and 9 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 117 active cases, 2 active hospitalizations and 1,082 total cases. The reservation has had 13 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 3 new cases, 25 active, 351 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 8 new cases, 15 active, 885 total cases, 12 deaths.
