Kyla Burchard, Havre High Swimming

With the postseason fast approaching, Havre High's Kyle Burchard is gearing up for the big finish. At last weekend's Great Falls Duals, Burchard placed second in the 200 Individual Medley against all Class A competition. She finished with a time of 2:46.04, while also swimming strong in the relays. Burchard also swam well at the Havre Time Trials Monday night, which made up for the Ponies' canceled Class A invite last month.

Tyrus LaMere, Box Elder Basketball

Back on the hardwood, Box Elder's Tyrus LaMere was scoring in bunches this past week. In a win over North Star last Friday, LaMere poured in 35 points for the victorious Bears, while he scored 12 in a game against CJI last Wednesday and another 12 in a win over Turner last Saturday. LaMere, who has been named All 9C in the past, is averaging more than 15 points a game for the Bears this season.
