Havre High lists students of the month

Rayna Johnson is a Havre High School Student of the Month for January 2022. She is the daughter of Jeff and Jennifer Johnson and has one sibling, Aaron, who is 13.

Rayna is a junior who is active in cheerleading, tennis, Key Club, Pep Club and AP chemistry. She works part time at a local pharmacy when her schedule allows. She also babysits and volunteers in the community.

Lindsey Ratliff, who nominated Rayna, said she is, "both an exceptional student as well as a wonderful person. I have thoroughly enjoyed having Rayna in Current Issues and believe she will be highly successful in whatever she pursues. She has strong critical thinking skills and enjoys having intellectual conversations. She is constantly in pursuit of deeper knowledge on every issue and consistently participates in all group discussion. All of Rayna's work is always complete, accurate and thoughtful. Having a student like Rayna in class brings a 'Ray' of sunshine to my day. Way to go, Rayna!"

In her free time, Rayna enjoys hanging out with family and friends, going to the lake, camping, reading, painting, traveling and shopping.

After her time at HHS, Rayna plans to attend an in-state college to earn a pre-med degree which will help her pursue a career in optometry, pharmacy, radiology or dermatology.

Greyson Brady also is a Havre High School Student of the Month for January 2022. He is the son of Charlie and Kami Brady.

Grey is a sophomore who is active in music, participating in marching band, jazz band, pep band, A Capella choir and Hi-Liters, as well as theater, including a role in the upcoming MAT production "Anastasia."

Outside of school, Grey participates in the community orchestra and Hi-Line United traveling soccer team.

Travis Aline, who nominated Grey, said, "I enjoy his unique sense of humor and intellect in our classroom conversations. I have never seen Grey be anything less than kind and supportive of his peers. His talent and hard work extend beyond his core classes, as he is very involved in the HHS band and choir departments. This young man has the potential to do great things, and I am excited to see what he chooses to do in the future."

In his free time, Grey enjoys drawing, thrifting, listening to new music and learning new instruments.

After graduation, he plans to attend college to study music engineering or music education.
