Pony girls turn away Browning, HHS boys stumble

It was supposed to be a week off for the Havre High boys and girls basketball teams, but with games against Browning postponed last month due to COVID-19, Havre added a makeup date on its schedule.

Those games came Thursday night as the Blue Ponies closed out the regular season with a road trip to face Northwest A rival Browning.

In the girls contest, the Blue Ponies edged the Indians 48-39. The non-conference win gave Havre a 17-1 record for the season, while the Ponies, of longtime head coach Dustin Kraske, finished off another perfect campaign in the Northeast A, a conference the Havre...
