A summons was issued related to three calls Thursday: a Seventh Avenue caller reported at 9:24 a.m. that five rabbits had been killed, a caller on 14th Street West reported at 11:27 a.m. having a problem with two German shepherd dogs that were running loose, and a First Street West caller reported a two German shepherd dogs chasing rabbits. No details were provided on the charges.

Stephanie Rae Spottedeagle of Havre, 48, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after a beer theft was reported at a First Street West business at 10:52 a.m. Thursday.

John William Loving of Havre, 72, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after a caller with Amtrak asked at 2:52 p.m. Thursday to have an unruly person removed.

A 16-year-old was issued a summons on charges of hit and run and "other" traffic crime, after a Fourth Avenue caller reported Thursday at 3:10 p.m. that a driver didn't stop after hitting a Chevrolet half-ton.

Gerhardus Reinecke of Evant, Texas, 29, was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and aggravated driving under the influence after a caller at 12:51 a.m. today reported a man passed out in a vehicle on the hill on First Street West.

Havre Animal Shelter
The shelter this morning held two 9-month-old kittens of unknown gender, a female 6-month-old kitten, three male cats, three female cats and a male 25-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, a male 8-month-old Labrador retriever puppy, a male 22-week-old Labrador retriever-Australian shepherd puppy, a female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female pit bull terrier, a 9-month-old corgi puppy, a female 7-month-old German shepherd puppy, a female 23-week-old shar pei puppy and a male Labrador retriever.
