News you can use

Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

Snow!

You know Lord, it is still March and there is still time in our forecast for some snow to come our way! When snow is falling, we might want to take a minute or two to watch, as falling snow is rather spellbinding stuff to watch.  An unknown author wrote the following about snow - so here it is: "A growth process called 'coalescence' (combination) is the process of a cloud droplet growing in size (from 1/2500 inch in diameter to 1/125 inch or larger), it is large enough to fall as rain or other forms of precipitation from low clouds. The most important type of coalescence occurs when tiny ice crystals and water droplets occur together. Some water droplets evaporate and then condense on the crystals.  The crystals grow until they drop as snow or ice pellets or even ice prisms.

"Science states every snowflake is different, but each has six sides ... Who checked them all out to see, Lord? They are fun to catch on mittens or taste on one's tongue - not so fun to dig out farm yards and driveways.

"The Bible states a dramatic fact about snow: Isaiah 55:10-11, 'For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither ... So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.'"

Who can validate the fact that each snowflake has six sides; yet the fact remains. Who has witnessed the fulfillment of every promise of God, but the fact remains! His Word, like water from melted snows, will bring forth His promise - we just need to wait and see! Thank You, Lord for snow!

Love, Mara
