The Havre High softball team got off to a fast start last weekend with a pair of dominant wins in Miles City. And while many Blue Ponies thrived in the two-game sweep, Lizzi Haney was especially good at the plate. Haney went 3-for-4 in the 20-2 win for Havre in game one, followed by a 3-for-4 performance in Havre's 19-1 victory. Haney, who also played on the HHS girls basketball state championship team, finished with six RBIs.

The Havre High tennis teams had a lot of success at the season-opening Cut Bank Invitational, and that includes senior singles player Jared Rosgaard. Coming off a strong final season of high school hockey. Rosgaard went undefeated at the Cut Bank Invite, placing first in the No. 3-4 singles bracket. Rosgaard is in his third year of Blue Pony tennis. He also played football for four years for the Blue Ponies.
