Havre Police Department

Richard Dean Johnson of Laredo, 35, was arrested on a charge of violation of a protective order after a caller on Second Street reported Tuesday at 7:44 a.m. that a man had entered a residence, threw some things around and left with some items.

A 12th Avenue caller reported Tuesday at 8:51 a.m. that a pickup truck was broken into.

A Second Street caller reported at 9:48 a.m. Tuesday that a work van was broken into.

An arrest was made after a possible scam was reported at a First Street West business Tuesday at 2:14 p.m. No details on charges were provided, but the dispatch log named Richard Joel Meyers as an involved party and Meyers was listed in this mornings jail roster as being held on two City Court warrants and a 72-hour pick up and hold order.

A Tuesday 6:52 p.m. caller on Eighth Street reported a fence was vandalized.

A hit and run crash was reported on 11th Street West at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies assisted someone at the sheriff’s office Tuesday at 9:26 a.m.

A 14-year-old was issued a summons on an underage tobacco possession or consumption charge after an offense was reported at Box Elder School Tuesday at 10:24 a.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three female cats, three male cats and a male 10-month-old kitten. Also, one male 6-week-old kitten was being fostered.

The shelter also held a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female border collie dog, a female Chihuahua-corgi cross dog, a female mixed-breed 10-month-old puppy, a male 10-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a female mixed-breed dog, a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 8-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female Rottweiler dog and a female 7-month-old Rottweiler puppy. Also, a male mixed-breed dog and a female 22-week-old Labrador retriever-border collie cross puppy were being held in foster care.
