Saddler convicted in hit-and-run death case

Sentencing set for May 26 for death of Arkinson in 2019

A woman was convicted in Rocky Boy Tribal Court Wednesday on multiple counts stemming from the hit-and-run crash death of pedestrian Lacey Arkinson in 2019.

A six-person jury convicted Shoshana Saddler, 36, of negligent homicide, obstructing justice, tampering with evidence and failing to report an accident, tribal prosecutor Steve Henry said this morning.

A sentencing hearing is set for May 26, Henry said.

Arkinson, who was 16, was killed Dec. 12, 2019, when she was struck by a vehicle while walking along Laredo Road near its intersection with Upper Box Elder Road.
