Havre Police Department

A Fifth Avenue caller reported Thursday at 11:41 a.m. that items had been stolen by a moving company out of Florida.

A Thursday 8:58 p.m. caller asked officers to perform a welfare check on First Street.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Adrian Tyrell Chiefstick of Rocky Boy, 39, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and no vehicle insurance during a vehicle stop in Box Elder Thursday at 9:58 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to seven calls Thursday and one call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to two calls Thursday, one at 8:25 a.m. on the 300 Block of Third Street where it was determined the burning electrical wire smell was coming from a copier machine malfunction, and the other at 9:01 p.m. on the 100 Block of Ninth Street where a gas smell was caused by a boiler malfunction and the scene was turned over to NorthWestern Energy.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats, three 3-week-old kittens, three 6-week-old kittens and one 3-day-old kitten of all of unknown gender, five female cats, two male cats and a male 11-month-old kitten. Also, one male 9-week-old kitten was being fostered.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, five male and four female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a female Rottweiler dog, a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female border collie dog and a female mixed-breed dog. A female 22-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female 23-week-old mixed-breed puppy were being held in foster care.
