Havre Police Department

Animal control was notified about a Wednesday 11:24 a.m. report of a raccoon in a garbage can on Fourth Street.

A caller on First Street West reported finding a knife in the alley Wednesday at 4:26 p.m.

After Tierra Sunchild reported to Havre police that someone committed identity theft and used her name during an arrest made Tuesday, officers at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday arrested Ariel Micheala Sunchild of Havre, 31, on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and on six Justice or City court warrants.

Officers issued a written or verbal warning after a Third Avenue caller reported Wednesday at 11:28 p.m. that an intoxicated woman was walking in the area, knocking on doors.

A caller reported at 12:57 a.m. today that a truck at the stoplight at Fourth Avenue and First Street was parked with its flashers on and no driver in the vehicle, but officers had been informed by the owner that they had run out of gas and were going to get more.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies stopped at 8:19 a.m. Wednesday to check on a woman in the ditch on Second Street West.

The railroad Main Street crossing arms were reported stuck down and blocking the street Wednesday at 9:55 a.m. A maintenance crew was reported en route.

Someone stopped at the sheriff’s office Wednesday at 11:29 a.m. to report a scam.

Scott Edward Moorman of Havre, 55, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 4:07 p.m.

A disturbance reported on Daystar Road Wednesday at 9:24 p.m. was referred to Rocky Boy Police Department, who reported they already had officers en route.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to eight calls Wednesday, and firefighters responding to a 3:36 p.m. report of a gas smell on the 10 Block of Third Street West found the source of the smell was burnt toast.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three 4-week-old kittens, three 7-week-old kittens, two cats and an 8-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, one male 10-week-old kitten, four female cats, two male cats and a male 11-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a female border collie dog, two 9-month-old dachshund puppies, a male mixed-breed dog, three male and one female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a male 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy and a female Rottweiler dog. And being fostered are a male mixed-breed dog and a female 24-week-old mixed-breed puppy.
