To My Dear Grandchildren,

Most of the time when I share my childhood memories with you, your reaction is "That couldn't be true" or "So what, no big deal." You've been trained well not to say something like that out loud but I can sense it. So, I am writing this letter so that in 20, 30 or 40 years you just might like to know what your Grandma Ila's childhood really was like.
