The much-needed rain was a welcome sight this weekend around Havre. But, it also helped off long enough to let the first big tournament weekend of the summer get underway.
Beaver Creek Golf Course held the Chester Swim Team Scramble, while Prairie Farms Golf Course held the Fighting For a Cure tournament, which featured a full field of teams consisting of two women and two men. The tourney, put on by the Havre Women's Golf Association, was won by the team of Jim and Carrie Kato and Chad and Sarah Spangler. More importantly than the scores however, was the cause.
