A local cellular phone service is offering help for local students to get to school.
Verizon Cellular Plus in Havre announced it is giving away free backpacks filled with school supplies Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to noon.
A release from the Havre Verizon store said no purchase is necessary.
“This is a gift, from us, to our students,” the release said. “We are excited to be able to give back to our local community and make it a little easier for families to afford the essential supplies needed to start the school year off right.”
