Northstars place second at Harry Griffith Memorial

Havre's Jevin Jenkins pitches against the Lewistown Redbirds last Tuesday at Legion Field. This past weekend in Miles City, the Havre Northstars went 4-1 in their games to finish second at the Harry Griffith Memorial Tournament.
The past two weekends have gone well for the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball club. After winning the Harold Gjerde Memorial Tournament the previous weekend, the Northstars went 4-1 at the Harry Griffith Memorial Tournament in Miles City this past weekend. While they lost the championship game to finish second in the tournament, Havre assistant coach Shane Reno believes the Northstars had a strong showing over the weekend.
"They played very well. They grew together as a team and really gelled this weekend. It was really good to see them rise to the occasion throughout each game,"...
