Montana Actors’ Theatre is holding auditions Sunday and Monday for a play it calls a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave audience members aching with laughter.

The auditions for “The Play That Goes Wrong” are set for 7 p.m. both nights in The Little Theatre at Montana State University-Northern’s Cowan Hall.

People who cannot make those audition times are asked to email [email protected] to set a different audition time.

Several roles are available for adult actors, MAT said in a release.

In a description of the play, MAT said, “Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, ‘The Murder at Haversham Manor,’ where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous.

“This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show — an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines),” the release continues. “Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences.”

Show dates for the production are Oct. 7-8, 13-15 and 20-22.
