A free Hunter Safety class is being offered by Chippewa Cree Tribe Fish and Wildlife.

Set for Monday, Aug. 22, through Thursday, Aug. 25, the four sessions will be 6-9 p.m. each day at Stone Child College in the Kennewash Building.

The course is for people 11 years of age and older, and they must attend all four sessions to meet tribal and Montana state certification guidelines.

A parent of guardian must accompany minors on the first day to provide a signature.

Masks are required, as well, to attend.

For more information on hunter safety and the course or to sign up, people can contact the Chippewa Cree Natural Resource Office at 406-395-4207.
