Obituary - William Neal 'Bear' Laney

William Neal "Bear" Laney of Rudyard, Montana, 68, passed Thursday August 18, 2022.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and pro football.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, C. Angella Laney of Rudyard, Montana; his brother Paul David Laney of Villa Rica, Georgia; his sister Florence (Ralph) Bryant of Waco, Georgia; his son, David Blackhawk (Suzanne) Laney of Calgary, Alberta; grandson Donley Neal (Beth) Laney of Great Falls, Montana; grandson Wayne Milton Laney of Rudyard, Montana; and his first great-grandson, Luke William of Great Falls, Montana. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Vivian Booth of Starke, Florida; sisters Denise Bainbridge of Starke, Florida, June (Young) Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, Michelle Wegler of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and brother Jon Booth of Alabama. He has one adopted sister, Joyce Afdahl of Havre, Montana, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Estella Joyce Laney; his father, Donley Burke Laney; his sister Darlene (Tom) Kelly, and his father-in-law, Wayne Booth.

There will be no memorial. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Pink Paws Rescue Society through Amazon in his name. This group has provided service dogs free for veterans and Bear got two of his service dogs through PPRS.
