Havre Police Department

A vehicle crash was reported on First Avenue at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

An injured fawn was reported on U.S. Highway 2 at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday.

--

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 7:27 p.m. Wednesday on Second Street.

--

A fender bender was reported near Town Square Wednesday at 10:13 p.m.

--

A verbal or written warning was issued after a 12:07 a.m. report today from callers who woke to find an intoxicated woman in their room.

--

At 4:54 this morning, BNSF Railway at Main Street and Seventh Avenue reported a minor derailment that did not require any assistance.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies rendered service after several reports starting at 9:48 a.m. Wednesday of a man in the ditch along U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 91.

Deputies opened an investigation after someone from Rudyard stopped at the police station Wednesday at 4:18 p.m. asking for assistance.

--

A burglary was reported by a First Street West caller at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to six calls Wednesday. Two of the calls were accompanied by a fire crew to motor vehicle crashes. The trooper who responded to both crashes was not available to provide information on the crashes by print deadline this morning.

One crash was between a semitractor-trailer and a car at 6:55 p.m. on U.S. Highway 2 West at mile marker 376. Four people were treated and one person was transported to the hospital.

The other crash was at 11:56 p.m. on U.S. Highway 87 at Main Street in Box Elder. Three people were treated on the scene and two people were transported to the hospital.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held 12 kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, one male kitten, three male cats, five female cats and three female kittens.

The shelter also held a male border collie, a male pug-Chihuahua, two female mixed-breed dogs, an Australian cattle dog-blue heeler puppy, three male and one female mixed-breed puppies and a male Australian shepherd. Additionally, seven puppies and one male dog, all mixed-breeds, were being fostered.
