Grief Poem - Seek His Face

We're born to die, the GOOD BOOK says; someday He'll call us home.

Then off we'll fly to be with God, no more on Earth to roam.

We'll greet family - oh! What a JOY; see some we've never met!

There's "A" and "E" - two special gals - they sing a great duet.

You left dear ones behind; you did; some tears we still do shed.

Some day we, too, will join you there, that's what the GOOD BOOK said.

No more illness of any kind, we're healed in Jesus' name!

That happens when we've been called 'home'; God's healing touch we'll claim!

While we're down here, we miss dear ones - loved ones who've gone before.

But one day, Lord, you'll call us home and we'll cross Jordan's shore.

And it could be, first face we'll see, will be Jesus, our Lord!

His face we'll know, and we'll be blessed and never more be bored.

We've eyes to see and ears to hear and lips to praise God's name.

Our loved one's flown off to You - someday we'll do the same!

We miss our dear ones, Lord, we do! For strength, we look to You(1).

Our heart does ache, our tears do flow, since off to God you flew.

While 'they' were here, we did enjoy clouds, rainbows, stars and moon!

We'd work on things - do 'stuff' each day, and did enjoy high-noon!

Our dear ones were part of each day - joys, sorrows, hopes and fears.

You know our mind, oh, LORD, You do, we know You save our tears.

We seek Your face, we Know You care. We thank You for Your love.

Loved ones are missed - but we do know, they're with You, up above.
