News you can use

From the Fringe: Thanks for helping the Havre Daily

Thank you Havre, thank you Hi-Line, that’s really all that needs to be said. Thank you.

I’m saying thank you because, as many of you know, the Havre Daily News went through a difficult portion of the summer where our press required a major repair. As the old saying goes, you can live without a lot of things when putting out a newspaper, but a printing press isn’t one of them.

During the almost two months our press was down, we did the absolute best we could to still bring you the newspaper and coverage you are used to. It was difficult, we had to make changes and we had to make sacrifices in order to deliver our paper to you while our press was being repaired.

And thanks to the hard work from our staff, and support from our ownership group, we were indeed able to get through to the other side of this tough time.

We were also able to get through it because of our readers and subscribers and those who work with us on a daily basis. And that’s what this is for. This is to say thank you.

Thank you to our readers, subscribers, clients and everyone in the community who hung in there. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I can’t tell you how many times it was nice to see so many people stop in and just ask about our press. Almost every time, it was with much understanding and for that, we at the Havre Daily News, are very grateful.

So to all of you, thank you for your support, and continued support. It is greatly appreciated. And just know, moving forward, we will continue to work diligently to bring you a quality newspaper every afternoon, as well as all of the products you’re accustomed to seeing from our great staff. We will continue to work diligently to serve our community, the entire coverage area and beyond, because that’s what we do, we work to bring you the best newspaper we can possibly be.

Again, thank you all and have a great fall.
