Letter to the Editor - Remember: Parking restricted during festival days

Greetings community of Havre,

As we celebrate Havre Festival Days 2022, many fun events will take place in the downtown area bringing an increase of pedestrians and vendors to gather and celebrate at Town Square.

For the safety of everyone and to provide ample space for the community to unite and celebrate together, street closures will be implemented from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

Affected areas are Third Avenue between First and Second streets, as well as the parking lot at Town Square.

The parade will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 17, on Fifth Avenue from the Fifth Avenue Christian Church to Third Street and Third Street from Fifth Avenue to the Atrium parking lot on the corner of Second Avenue and Third Street. These roads will be blocked off to vehicle traffic until the parade finish.

Please remove vehicles from Town Square and Third Avenue prior to Saturday morning. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.

We encourage businesses to hold sidewalk sales, specials, open early, or stay late to take advantage of all of the pedestrian traffic during Festival Days!

Let’s work together to make Havre Festival Days 2022 a great community experience for all!

Thank you,

Jessica Fagerbakke

Havre Area Chamber of Commerce executive director
