Hi-Line Football Roundup: Hawks fall in shootout, Pioneers continue to dominate

This past weekend on the Hi-Line, another slate of high school football games took place. One of the most exciting games took place this past Saturday when the Chester-Joplin-Inverness six-man football team went on the road to play Denton-Geyser-Stanford-Geraldine. It ended up being a shootout that the CJI Hawks ultimately lost 46-42.

In the first quarter, the Bearcats took the lead with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Tyce Smith to Ace Becker. But the Hawks responded with Nate Nelson scoring on a two-yard touchdown run. Later in the quarter, the Hawks scored again with a 51-yard touchdown...
