Havre Police Department

Brandon James Belgarde of Havre, 29, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program no-show reported at the police station Wednesday at 8:05 a.m.

An abandoned bike was reported on 11th Street West at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday.

A fraudulent check was reported at a First Street business Wednesday at 9:20 a.m.

Child Abuse Hotline personnel made a report to officers Wednesday at 10:40 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies responded to a Wednesday 7:50 a.m. request for animal control assistance on U.S. Highway 2 East.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two three calls Wednesday, and firefighters responded to a 3:11 p.m. call to the 1400 Block of Fifth Avenue that required no action.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held 14 kittens and one cat all of unknown gender, two male cats, six female cats, one female kitten and two male kittens.

The shelter also held three 14-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a 15-week-old female terrier puppy, one female and two male mixed-breed dogs, a female 22-week-old German shepherd puppy and a male 21-week-old mixed-breed puppy. Additionally, four 15-week-old puppies and one male dog, all of mixed-breed, were being fostered, and nine 7-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
