Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Bree Swanson, Chinook Volleyball

It was a great run for the Chinook girls volleyball team. The Sugarbeeters captured the District 7C championship last Saturday, and veteran Bree Swanson was a big help. Swanson had a huge all-around weekend for the Beeters, just as she’s done all season. Both offensively, and defensively, Swanson was highly consistent for Chinook, which will also host the Northern C Divisional this weekend. Swanson also plays basketball in the winter for the Beeters.

Colter Solomon, Havre High Football

The Havre High football team didn’t quite get over the hump in last Saturday’s Class A playoff game against Whitefish. But it wasn’t for a lack of great defense by sophomore defensive back Colter Solomon. Solomon intercepted three Whitefish passes in Saturday’s game, while registering 4.5 tackles for a great defensive display. Solomon, who also wrestles at HHS and plays American Legion baseball, added a catch for 14 yards on offense.
