He then attended vo-tech school in Helena for his certificate in carpentry, and Billy put that knowledge to use, working as a carpenter for the rest of his life. For many years, Billy worked for Belcourts and Morsettes.
In 1975, he married Ilene Doney, and they had a son, Billy Junior, before later divorcing.
Billy married Dawn Azure in 1986, and they had a daughter, Tia, and they adopted another daughter, Chantell. Later in life, the couple traveled to Cancun, and he loved it there.
Billy enjoyed beading, playing cards, working puzzles, fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. He loved his family, and he treasured his time with them. While he was with them, Billy simply adored the nurses and staff at Northern Montana Care Center.
