Obituary - Billy Roy St. Marks Sr.

Billy Roy St. Marks Sr., 67, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Wake services will begin at 2:00 p.m. today, November 3, 2022, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Marks Family Cemetery.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Billy was born August 5, 1955, in Fort Belknap to Hector and Lorraine (Briere) St. Marks. He was raised in Rocky Boy and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1974. He then attended vo-tech school in Helena for his certificate in carpentry, and Billy put that knowledge to use, working as a carpenter for the rest of his life. For many years, Billy worked for Belcourts and Morsettes.

In 1975, he married Ilene Doney, and they had a son, Billy Junior, before later divorcing.

Billy married Dawn Azure in 1986, and they had a daughter, Tia, and they adopted another daughter, Chantell. Later in life, the couple traveled to Cancun, and he loved it there.

Billy enjoyed beading, playing cards, working puzzles, fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. He loved his family, and he treasured his time with them. While he was with them, Billy simply adored the nurses and staff at Northern Montana Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hector and Lorraine St. Marks; stepson, Eddie Lamere; and siblings Louie, Kenny, Alex, Robert, Sammy, Dennis, and Nina St. Marks.

Billy is survived by his wife, Dawn St. Marks, of Havre; son, Billy St. Marks Jr. of Havre; daughters, Tia St. Marks of Billings and Chantell Azure of Great Falls; 10 grandchildren; siblings Patty St. Marks of Seattle, WA, Anna Geboe of Rocky Boy, Richard St. Marks of Rocky Boy, and Patrick St. Marks of Havre; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
