Political signs must be removed

While most signs supporting political candidates in the area have come down since the midterm elections earlier this month, any left up are now in violation of Montana State Law and are required to come down.

Montana law requires that political signs endorsing specific candidates must be removed within 14 days of the conclusion of the relevant election, a deadline that was reached last week.

The law states that landowners found with signs still up will be given 24 hours to remove them and if they are not removed the department will do so itself.
