Obituary - Troy Allen Klunder

Troy Allen Klunder passed away of natural causes November 26, 2022, in Gambell, Alaska.

Troy was born July 8, 1962, in Glasgow, MT, to Charles and Geraldine Klunder. He grew up in Alaska and graduated from Metlakatla Alaska High School in 1980.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the start of the first Gulf War. His service took him to Saudi Arabia and Germany.

After his discharge, he returned to the family home in Metlakatla, AK, later locating to Havre, MT.

He enrolled in Montana State University-Northern and married Kathleen Schwenke.

After graduating in 2001, the couple moved to Gambell, AK, where he worked as a Village Heath Aide/EMT for Norton Sound Health Corp. for 21-plus years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Klunder.

Survivors include hie wife, Kathleen; his mother, Geraldine Klunder; his sister, Tana Klunder, and her companion, John Watson, of Anchorage, Alaska; also the village of Gambell, Alaska.
