MDT moving snow to middle of routes in Havre

Montana Department of Transportation issued the following release about how it is handling snow removal in Havre:

“In urban Havre, Montana, Department of Transportation has been moving snow to the center of our maintained routes, U.S. Highway 2 (First Street) and Fifth Avenue.”

“This change is to allow more room in the travel lanes and help clear parking and sidewalks.

“When time and conditions allow, MDT maintenance crews will remove the snow from these center berms.

“MDT’s goal is to keep the roadways open and safe for the traveling public.

“We would like to thank the community for your patience and understanding.”
