Annual Chamber meeting set for Jan. 18

RSVPs requested by Wednesday

The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its 113th Annual Meeting Wednesday, Jan. 18, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Duck Inn Olympic Room and is requesting RSVPs by this Wednesday, Jan. 11.

At the meeting the Chamber will discuss its activities in the past year, lay out their plans and goals for the coming year and introduce new people on the organization’s board of directors.

Chamber Executive Director Jessica Fagerbakke said it is also a chance for people to network, learn about other businesses in the area and hear from a keynote speaker in Amber Hofstad of Windrift Hill out of Conrad.

The company creates all-natural goat milk soaps, goat milk lotions and body butters using farm fresh goat milk from the family’s herd of Nubian goats.

Fagerbakke said Hofstad is an excellent speaker who will talk about her journey as a small business owner in rural Montana.

She said the meeting will also be a chance for people to meet the staff of the Chamber, including herself, as it will be her first annual meeting since taking over as director in early 2022.

She encouraged anyone who is interested in keeping up with the Chamber or the local business environments to attend the event and enjoy a nice meal.

General admission for the meeting is $30 but Chamber members and their employees pay $20.

A press release from the Chamber says tickets can be reserved at https://www.eventbrite.com or by calling 406-265-4383.
