Havre Police Department

A two-vehicle, non-injury crash involving a Jeep Wagoneer and a Dodge Dart was reported on 13th Street West was reported at 7:59 a.m. Tuesday.

A Tuesday 2:47 p.m. caller reported someone backed into a fence on Fourth Street.

John Michael Segna of Havre, 32, was issued a summons on a vandalism charge after a First Street caller reported Tuesday at 3:47 p.m. that someone damaged a toilet.

Marshall Earl Doney of Havre, 34, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller on Third Street reported Tuesday at 6:26 p.m. that a family member was being hit by a significant other.

Officers investigated a theft of merchandise reported at a First Street business Tuesday at 6:41 p.m.

Officers investigated the theft of an Xbox reported Tuesday at 10:14 p.m. on Second Street Northeast.

Gunshots and yelling were reported on Ninth Avenue Tuesday at 11:53 p.m.

A caller on Second Street asked for assistance after the lock on the caller's front door broke, trapping the caller inside.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A non-injury vehicle crash with a Honda rolled into a ditch was reported on U.S. Highway 87 at mile marker 96 Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. and referred to Montana Highway Patrol.

A vehicle was reported on a ditch on Clear Creek Road at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday.

A drug offense reported in booking at Hill County Detention Center Tuesday at 7:56 p.m. was referred to another law enforcement agency.

Denise Michelle Peters of Heart Butte, 54, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served after Peters called to say she had just gotten out of jail and had no where to go.

Montana Highway Patrol

An injury vehicle crash was reported near mile marker 389 on U.S. Highway 2 East Tuesday at 11:20 a.m. Trooper Matt Erickson said a passenger van with a driver and one person seated in back lost control on black ice in the eastbound lane, crossed the centerline and rolled, ending up on its wheels in the westbound ditch. Both the driver and the passenger, who were wearing seat belts, were transported to the hospital. Speed relative to the icy conditions of the road surface was the only factor in the crash, Erickson said.

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Tuesday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats all of unknown gender, four male cats and four female cats.

The shelter also held one male dog, 11 6-week-old mixed-breed puppies and five mixed-breed puppies of varying ages from 21 weeks to 10 months. Additionally, a male dog and a female dog with 10 7-week-old puppies, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
