The Chinook Community Red Cross Blood Drive was held Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the Chinook Community Commercial Building down at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. It was another great success with 57 presenting donors, 55 productive units collected on a goal of 52.

We registered one first-time donor, Simon Wurz.

Melanie Qualls reached seven gallons, Judy Johnson five gallons and Don Ranstrom 17 gallons.

People accepting door prizes were Royce Houtzel, Don Ranstrom, Le Ann Brewer, Mark Weber, Shirley MacKenzie, Nancy Schellin and Louann Paulsen.

The canteen was hosted by the ladies of Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church. They also provided the door prizes.  North Central Montana Cattlewomen provided the beef certificates.

Reception was hosted by Judy Johnson and Linda Thompson. Cleanup was provided by the students of JUMP.

The next drive, March 7, is open for scheduling. It is never too early to schedule and you can do so by logging into http://www.redcrossblood.org . The drive will again be located at the Chinook Community Commercial Building. Entrance to the drive will be the east door rather than the north door. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
