Man sentenced for stabbing woman on Fort Belknap Indian Reservation

GREAT FALLS — A Hays man who admitted to stabbing a woman in the back was sentenced Thursday to 15 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.

Tyrell Andrew Laroque, 34, pleaded guilty in September 2022 to assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a dating partner.

Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided. The court allowed Laroque to self-report to the Bureau of Prisons.
