Havre Police Department

A Thursday 9:44 a.m. caller on U.S. Highway 2 East reported a semitractor-trailer was losing hay bales on the highway, and officers issued a written or verbal warning.

A caller at a First Street establishment reported Thursday at 12:47 p.m. that an employee had stolen money.

--

A 13-year-old was issued a summons on charges of underage tobacco possession or consumption and obstructing a peace officer or other public servant after a caller at Havre Middle School reported Thursday at 3:05 p.m. that a student had a vape.

A Thursday 3:32 p.m. caller at Havre Middle School reported that a student threatened the caller.

Officers investigated an assault reported on Ninth Street Thursday at 5:46 p.m.

Animal Control had to deal with three calls about loose and nuisance dogs and one stray cat in the 24-hour reporting period.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A semitractor-trailer slid off the road at U.S. Highway 2 and Kremlin Road, and the trailer was reported Thursday at 12:27 p.m. to be blocking most of the westbound lane. Montana Highway Patrol troopers were notified of the crash.

Deputies investigated a complaint made at Box Elder School Thursday at 1:42 p.m.

Brandon Lee Wombold of Havre, 27, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served Thursday at 2:41 p.m. on U.S. Highway 2 West. This morning's jail roster lists Wombold as being held on two warrants for failure to appear and charges of possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to four calls Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats of unknown gender, five male cats and two female cats, along with four cats in the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held six mixed-breed puppies ages 6 to 11 months, two male and one female mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd-cross, a male pit bull terrier and 11 9-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, seven 11-week-old puppies and a male dog, all of mixed-breeding, were being housed off-site.
