A good crowd braved the cold temperatures Saturday. They enjoyed the best snow conditions of the year on this fourth weekend of the season. More than a foot of new powder had fallen since the prior weekend. It wasn’t champagne powder that floats up in a cloud with each passing skier. Rather, the snow had more substance, and was very skiable. As the day went on, the snow became a wonderful, packed powder that added to the bullet-proof base of 14 to 24 inches.
