Water service restored in Harlem

The City of Harlem had to turn off their water services for much of the last few days due to a water main break, causing schools to close.

City of Harlem Clerk Treasurer Becky Schroeder said they had to shut off the water to locate the break, which they found and fixed Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Water services have since been restored, but the intervening time left much of the city without water, causing the schools that use that water to close for two days and return to remote learning.
