Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

A 'Thank You, Jesus' tour

You know, Lord, "Florence" stopped by, shared about her holiday.

"I'd not seen my grandkids for a while, so, when I showed up for their 9th birthday, they were excited. After breakfast they said, 'Grandma, can we do a "Thank you Jesus(1)" tour with you?' I looked at their mom, my daughter, she smiled; 'Sure Mom, take them.' She slipped some money in my hand and whispered ... .

"Out in my pickup, the twins, C.J. and J.C., climbed in besides me. C.J. said, 'This is how we do it, drive to that park, look at the tree, robins build nests and then a baby robin happens.' The other twin quietly said, 'Thank You Jesus.' The twins took turns talking about things, one spoke, the other thanked Jesus!

"'We're on the hill, see the church belltower - we heard bells ring once, it might have been a wedding - it wasn't Sunday. (quietly, T.Y. Jesus). The church over there has a pipe organ, Susie told me Miss Shelma plays it.

"'Look! Down the hill everything is white! Momma said fog came last night, covering everything - gardens, house roofs, fences and trees - all are white!'

"White trees in that park! Oh, look! Deer today, and a bunny over there? There goes a squirrel! Cute!'

"I said, 'It's lunch time, let's get some tacos.' We ordered, the waitress looked at me, I nodded. When we were about finished, two guys with cupcakes with candles, came, they started singing 'Happy Birthday'! Other customers joined in; the twins were so excited."

"'We've finished our tour!' 'Home! Mom's making rhubarb crisp! We all love that dessert.'

"I laughed; 'That's my recipe.' ... They laughed.

"'Look! Daddy's home now, too!' Together they said, 'Thank You, Jesus, for today, for Grandma, Daddy, Mom, this tour and dessert coming up. We love You, Jesus, and we know You love us.'"

Love, Mara
