VanCampen, Stygles win state titles, Havre boys finish sixth

Kale Van Campen wrestles at the Class A State Wrestling Tournament at the Metra in Billings this past weekend. At 182 pounds, Van Campen won a state championship to cap off his Blue Pony career.Tristan Stygles wrestles at the state tournament. At 138 pounds, Stygles brought home a first-place trophy for the Blue Ponies.

BILLINGS - After months and months of hard work, the Havre High wrestling team finally put it all on the line at the Class A State Wrestling Tournament in Billings. On the grand stage that is the Metra, some Blue Ponies showed that they were the best in the state.

At the end of the weekend, Tristan Stygles and Kale Van Campen both brought home state championships. Stygles finished first wrestling in the 138-pound weight class while Van Campen took first at 182 pounds. With it being the final wrestling match of his high school career, Van Campen could not have written a better ending.
