Montana Actors' Theatre announced its scheduled performance of a stage adaptation of the Stephen King novel "Misery" has been canceled, following a two-week delay due to COVID-19 of its original scheduled premiere.

"The production opened to a wonderful start last weekend after our COVID delays," MAT Artistic Director Grant Olson said in a Facebook post. "However, owing to a personal emergency within the cast, we will be unable to perform Misery on Thursday 23 of February."

Olson said the Friday and Saturday performances will proceed as scheduled.

"As a small company, MAT works to ensure that we can support our volunteers and staff while we strive to produce the highest-quality theater around," Olson said in the post. "If you have purchased tickets for the Thursday performance, please contact [email protected] to make arrangements for a transfer or refund.

"Again we thank you for your understanding and hope you can see this performance on Friday or Saturday evening," he added.
