In the Northern C Divisional Girls Basketball Tournament, the Chinook Sugarbeeters defeated Cascade, 62-39, and the Fort Benton Longhorns defeated Simms, 37-17, to advance to the semifinals. Meanwhile, the North Star Knights suffered a 31-23 loss to Highwood Thursday.
The Northern C Divisional Girls Basketball Tournament got rolling Thursday at the Great Falls Four Seasons Arena. Hi-Line girls basketball teams from the District 9C looked to do well as they tried to win Thursday and clinch a spot in the tournament semifinal. Some were able to do so while some now have to play in loser-out games to try to keep their seasons alive.
