FWP notice to ice fishers

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 office has issued a reminder to ice fishers to remove their ice shacks by Wednesday, March 1.
Ice fishing shelters must be removed from the ice before the shelters become irretrievable at the end of the season. In the Western Fishing District this means within five days from receipt of notification from FWP to remove the shelter, but in the Eastern Fishing District shelters must be removed by March 1.
Shelters may be on the ice after this deadline if they are removed daily, unless occupied overnight.
