Havre Police Department

A Wednesday 10:11 a.m. caller at a First Street establishment reported a backpack left at a local establishment for about a week was found to contain drug paraphernalia.

A 12th Street caller reported Wednesday at 10:32 a.m. finding a dead dear in their backyard.

An arrest was made after a caller on Ninth Avenue at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday asked officers to check on a tenant who was yelling, screaming and threatening people. No details on charges were provided in the dispatch log, but Neal Wayne Anderson, who was named as an involved party, was listed in this morning's jail roster as being held on a warrant for failure to appear.

A Boulevard Avenue caller reported at 8:23 p.m. Wednesday that a 1994 green Suburban had been stolen.

Officers were asked at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday to assist Rocky Boy Ambulance at the hospital with a man who might be violent.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported at a Box Elder establishment Wednesday at 9:46 a.m.

Horses that were out along U.S. Highway 87 near mile marker 92 were reported Wednesday at 8:21 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Wednesday and three call early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and one 4-week-old kitten, both of unknown gender, six male cats and five female cats. Another two cats were being held for the trap-neuter-release program.

The shelter also held eight mixed-breed dogs, a male 16-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a male Chihuahua-Pomeranian cross, a 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male pit bull terrier, and a male and a female 15-week-old mixed-breed puppies. Additionally, five 8-week-old Australian shepherd puppies, a male mixed-breed dog and a female Australian shepherd dog were being housed off-site.
